PECULIARITIES OF THE COURSE OF COVID-19 IN ELDERLY PATIENTS (LITERATURE REVIEW)
Abstract
Available data on various aspects of novel coronavirus infection (NCI) in the elderly and elderly have been confirmed in 20 clinical studies. These studies included 4,965 patients, mostly aged 60 and over.
Multicenter retrospective studies have shown that the most common clinical signs of NCI in elderly patients are fever (66.7%), cough (64.8%), and weakness (33.3%). At the same time, gastrological symptoms; nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and anorexia are observed .
