Abstract

the article presents the main stages of historical development of reconstructive surgery of the mandible. The evolution of treatment methods for diseases and injuries of the mandible is shown. The main works of domestic and foreign authors that influenced the development of reconstructive surgery of the mandible are briefly characterized.
